Craig is the executive Chairman of Complii FinTech solutions Ltd. Craig has over 29 years’ experience in the finance industry in various capacities and has worked closely with ASX, ASIC and recently APRA to help shape the industry over this time, more specifically in the areas of custody, third party trade execution and clearing associated services. Craig has previously been an active director of the Stockbrokers and Financial Advisers Association (SAFAA) and also sat on the SAFAA Retail Broker Advisory Committee.
Craig is the former Country Head of BNY Mellon Australia and Non Exec Chairman Pershing Securities Australia Pty Ltd, a BNY Mellon company, where he was responsible for the overall management of the Company. Mr Mason’s role included the implementation of strategic goals and objectives, providing direction and leadership towards the achievement of BNY Mellon/Pershing’s philosophy and mission, overseeing company operations to ensure efficient management of resources, and ensuring the governance functions were fulfilled.
Craig has over 29 years’ experience in the finance Industry in various capacities and has been involved in many major changes which have taken place and shaped the industry over this time. He has worked closely with ASX. ASIC and recently APRA more specifically in the areas of Custody, Third Party trade execution and clearing associated services.
Since establishing the first true Third Party Clearing business in Australia in 2000 (Berndale Securities which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Merrill –Bank Of America) and a subsequent trade execution and clearing services business for UBS in 2005. He has continued to work with the industry and its stakeholders to further enhance the important mid-tier and boutique broking segment with particular focus on the Retail/Wealth Management segment.
In 2009 Craig founded Penson Financial Services Australia as an independent provider of third party trade execution, clearing, international market access, custody and nominee services to the small and mid-tier broking participants and AFSL holders’ one of the fastest growing segments of the Australian market. The business model was specifically targeted at allowing Participants and AFSL holders to compete with the top end of town on service, capital efficiency and compliance while providing a real alternative to the significant cost pressures that were emerging around Capital, Compliance and Risk management as a result of the GFC and changed market conditions.
Alison Sarich has been instrumental in the commercialisation of Complii into Sydney and Melbourne. Prior to joining Complii Alison was in the Relationship Management Team at Pershing Securities Australia. As the 5th employee of Pershing she has firsthand seen a financial services firm grow to be the industry leader. Alison has strong relationship management and operations experience in the industry and brings this to the everyday running of Complii.
Peter Robinson (55) holds a Joint Honours Degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham and he is currently General Manager and Director of CPS Capital. Previously Peter was Operations Manager at Patersons Securities and Operations Manager at JDV, following software project management and implementation management roles at STC in the UK and Sungard within Australia.
Robert Cloughton has over 25 years experience in the finance industry in Australia and overseas.
Robert was the Chief Financial Officer for Ord Minnett from 2002 to 2018. His role included responsibilities for Strategy, Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance and Financial Control. Project Implementation included outsourcing Clearing and Settlement to Penson Financial Services (now Pershing) as the cornerstone client and the establishment of a business in Hong Kong. Robert continues to be a Compliance Committee Member for Ord Minnett Management Limited (as Responsible Entity for Managed Investment Scheme).
Robert was employed by JP Morgan from 1989 to 2001 in key Finance and Operational roles in Sydney, Madrid and Singapore. He was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of JP Morgan Australia from 1998 to 2000.
Prior to this, Robert worked in the Audit Division of KPMG in London and Sydney. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc), combined honours in Mathematics and Statistics from Southampton University, UK and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)
Karen Logan has extensive compliance, capital raising, merger and acquisition, IPO and backdoor listing experience in a diverse range of industries including technology, media, resources, health care and life science. She has assisted a substantial number of private start-up and established businesses transition to being publicly-listed companies for over 13 years. Karen is company secretary of a number of ASX-listed companies.
